Remediation plans
Note: Remediation plans will be phased out in Q4 2023 and replaced by Issues and Action plans. You don't have to initiate any action: existing remediation plans will be automatically migrated to the new Issue and Action plan modules.
Keeping track of the different remediation activities can be a hassle. Within the 3rdRisk platform, you can easily register and monitor all your remediation plans. Forget standalone spreadsheets or Outlook reminders.
Create a remediation plan
During the self-assessment review, you can easily register a remediation plan when a provided answer by your third party is considered insufficient.
In the review module, click on [Create remediation plan]:
This will open the remediation window where you can register the plan:
Within this plan, you initially define the title, planned actions, owner (associated colleague), criticality and due date.
Click on the [Save remediation plan] to save the defined plan.
Monitor a remediation plan
To proactively monitor the different remediation plans, the platform will pull all these plans from the different self-assessments and add these to the Remediation plans module:
In this module, you will get a complete overview of all the different plans, the involved third parties and criticality levels.
In addition, all these plans are mapped to an interactive timeline on your dashboard:
This overview lets you see the different remediation plans approaching the defined due date. You can also click on the criticality (pie chart) or a specific month (bar chart) to dynamically filter the remediation list on the left side.
Update a remediation plan
If you want to update a remediation plan to, for example, populate the field status log, you can easily update the record, by clicking on the action button of the applicable plan:
Close a remediation plan
When a remediation activity is successfully performed, or there is no longer a need, you can quickly close a remediation plan by editing the plan:
And set the status toggle to closed.
Report
By default, the remediation plans are part of the default assessment report that you can share with your third parties.
Assessment report
The platform will only include remediation plans that are active at the moment that you generate the assessment report. This allows you to provide management and third parties with an always up-to-date status report.
